Cargill sells factory in SP to Döehler, German says source

SAO PAULO (Reuters)-Cargill inked a deal to sell fruit preparations plant, toppings and fillings, located in São José do Rio Pardo (SP), to the German Döehler, global company that produces and distributes natural ingredients for the food and beverage industry, said on Monday a source with knowledge of the transaction.
The sale of the unit follows the American multinational Cargill plan to get out of the business of fruit preparations, toppings and fillings in Brazil, according to the source, who asked not to be identified because the deal has not yet been released.
The source had no information on the value of the transaction.
Cargill is one of the leading companies that negotiate and process agricultural commodities like soybeans and corn in Brazil and in the world.
