Marketing of incandescent bulbs will be banned from July next year

From July 1st next year, retailers will be prohibited from selling incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescents with power exceeding 60 W; They do not meet the new minimum energy efficiency levels defined in the Plan of Goals established in the Ministerial Ordinance No. 1007/2010, of the Ministry of mines and energy.
The manufacture and import of the model across the country are prohibited since June 2014. This regulation aims to reduce energy consumption and has been happening gradually since 2012. Surveillance, from next year, will be held by State agencies. There will be penalties for establishments that don't comply.
