Electrolux studies in Paraná investment of r $ 250 million

Electrolux studies to build a new plant in Rio Negro, in the South of Paraná. A protocol of intentions was signed yesterday with the State Government, which pledged to give tax incentives, such as tax reduction on the circulation of Goods and services (ICMS).
According to the value found, the studies presented to the Government of Paraná point investment of r $ 250 million for the construction of the unit, which will produce refrigerators, freezers and washing machines. Will be created about 600 direct jobs and another two thousand indirect jobs.
The company did not confirm the amount to be invested and reported that the construction of the factory still depends on approval of the array, in Sweden. "What we did today [yesterday] is the first step to study the viability of the plant," said the financial Vice President for Latin America of Electrolux, Adriano Moura.
According to the Executive, the multinational talks to other State Governments to the expansion of the production structure of Electrolux in the country, but there is no dispute by the project for Paraná. Currently, the company has two factories in the State of Paraná, in addition to units in São Carlos (SP) and Manaus (AM).
Last week, a deposit of coolers & freezers of the company caught fire in Curitiba. Another deposit will be built on the same site.
Electrolux is the industry leader in Brazil, with 22% of market share, behind the Whirpool, dona Brastemp and Consul marks, which holds 32 percent, according to Euromonitor.
