Sale of Medicines Grow 5.1% in 1st Qtr

In the first three months of 2018, the members of the Brazilian Association of logistics and Distribution of pharmaceutical products (Abradilan), R $1,331 billion in sales of medicines and not medicines (HPC), 5.1% more than that recorded in the same 2017 period. Were marketed by Abradilan 250 million units of medicines and not medicines in the quarter, an increase of 0.2% compared to last year. In the last 12 months, accumulated sales of Abradilan reached 1,017 billion units in the country, a increase of 6% compared to the previous year. Already in values, sales reached the mark of R $5,361 billion, an increase of 8.9 percent on the same basis of comparison. Generics highlighted in distribution of product segments in Abradilan in March, the highlight is of generic drugs, which come to represent 42.2% of sales associates. In units, the percentage is 43.9%. Today, the Abradilan brings together 140 distributors of medicines and toiletries and cosmetics.
