Index of intention of household consumption has high of 0.9% in March

The Intention index of household consumption (ICF), the Federation of trade in goods, services and tourism of the State of São Paulo (FecomercioSP), surged to 0.9% in March compared to February and reached 95.1 points. This was the ninth consecutive increase and the highest score since April 2015, according to the entity. Compared to the previous year, the growth of 20.8%. This is the 19 months followed by comparative growth on that basis.
ICF varies from 0 to 200 points, with results below 100 points means dissatisfaction and above 100, satisfaction in relation to conditions of consumption.
Four of the seven items analyzed showed growth in March. Among the gainers are the item access to credit, which increased from 90.9 points in February to 94.6 points in March. Another highlight was the moment for durable indicator, which surged 2.7 percent monthly and reached 76.6 points. The Economic Advisory FecomercioSP assessed that consumers are reducing the caution in relation to purchases of products such as TV, oven, refrigerator, among others, "due to the reduction of interest and the greater ease in obtaining the credit". A year ago, 70% of respondents thought it was a bad time to purchase these types of goods. Now, the percentage dropped to 58%.
The item current income stood at 106 points in March, rising 1.1% monthly and annual of 20.3%. According to the data, 33% of respondents consider that your income is better than a year ago. The professional perspective item, for your time, was stable on a monthly comparison, with 116.9 points, which means that most people consider a professional advancement in the next six months. "There's more security in relation to the current job, because the item ' hobbies ' had growth of 1% compared to February and 11.6% in comparison with the same month of 2017, ending the month with 113.5 points", highlights the FecomercioSP.
Two items recorded fall, and the largest negative variation was the level of current consumption (reduction of 2.1% and 62.5 points), item with the lowest rating in the month. The consumer perspective had 0.9% fall and reached the total of 95.6 points.
