Congraf participates in technological development in partnership with Sun Chemical and Videojet

Companies join forces to introduce new solution to the packaging market
A technological partnership between the Sun Chemical, Videojet and Congraf is responsible for an innovative solution for the packaging market. The new solution consists in the production of digital identification codes based on high-quality laser labels or packaging. That is, in the production of the box or packaging is printed an area with SunLase varnish of Sun Chemical. Then, this particular area receives the Videojet printer laser, which shows the black and writes the desired data, which can be alphanumeric, bar code, including GS1/EN128, logos, 2D variables and other identification codes. So, the box or packaging out of graphics containing the fixed pre-printed information. Already the information variables are marked on the production line. "A year ago the Videojet and Sun Chemical began this project to use and promote this varnish in this way. The market of boxes is eager for a more economical solution, clean, indelible and productive than current technologies of online recording for ink or labels ", highlights the Videojet Laser product manager for Latin America, Pablo Salama.
According to Sun Chemical and Videojet, the solution was tested during a year and can produce identification for up to 25 boxes or cartons per minute. "As the regulations for traceability keep growing, combined with the needs of fast delivery and reducing costs, our approach in this partnership with the Congraf allowed us to combine our expertise to offer a digital laser-based solution that meets all the requirements of industrial applications," explains SunLase product manager at Sun Chemical to the EMEA Michel Vanhems.
Finally, according to Congraf, a batch of packages with the use of new technology was on display at the booth of Videojet during the last edition of Fispal, held in São Paulo (SP), between 14 and 17 June.
