The price of the ripe tomato rose nearly 50% in last weekend, according to a bulletin of the Center for advanced studies in applied economics (Cepea), linked to the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (Esalq/USP). As the Cepea, the ripe tomato was trading at R $ 100 to 18 pounds box Sunday at Ceagesp, up 49% over the r $ 67 Friday.
