Sector Revenue Grows 2.8% in October

Sales of the construction materials industry increased 1.2% in October compared to the previous month, and 2.8% compared to the same period last year. The data are from the Brazilian Association of the Construction Materials Industry (Abramat). In the accumulated 2019, revenue swelled 1.9% compared to the same period in 2018. In the analysis of the last 12 months, there was a 1.2% increase compared to the previous 12 months. According to the survey, the advance is mainly the result of sales of finishing materials, which grew 3.2% in October, compared to September, and 4.7% compared to October last year.
