Sales of Easter eggs Should Move up to 5%

Sales of Easter eggs in grocery stores should grow between 4% and 5% this year. The prices of seasonal items for 2018 will have an increase of 3% compared to 2017. The projections were made by São Paulo supermarket Association (APAS). Other two products very consumed in the period of lent which precedes Easter, are the fish and chicken eggs. In relation to fish, the entity designs a sales growth between 2% and 4%. For hen eggs, prices usually reach their best results in this period due to high demand, so the estimate is growth of 6% to 8% in sales. Also according to the actions carried out, APAS by 70% of the supermarket, are changing the store layout (gondolas, Islands, heck, special decorations, among others), tastings at the point of sale, discounts and special offers on products typical of the date. In smaller proportions are actions such as promotions more-for-less and interactivity with the children.
