Heineken Launches first Factory operation in the Northeast

The Heineken Group, to meet the increasing demand in the Northeast, announces the opening of the first production line of the Heineken brand in the region. With that, the unit will be the fourth of the group producing the beer in Brazil. The plant is located in the municipality of Alagoinhas (Bahia) and received the sum of R $135 million. The work included the installation of 4 horizontal tanks, called HORAPs and used exclusively for the fermentation process of Heineken; magnifying glass line; new packaging for the line, and a new line of draft beer. The investment is part of an expansion project of the group in Brazil, which will extend until 2019.
