Comparable sales of Carrefour Brazil grows 5% in Q3

Carrefour Brazil reported that gross sales of the group grew by 5.1% in the third quarter, considering the same base of stores a year before. Also using the same base comparable, but by business unit, sales of Atacadão grew 6.2%, while sales of Carrefour advanced 3 percent. The turnover of the group, including Carrefour and networks Atacadão, amounted to R $14 billion from July to September, an increase of 8.1%. Excluding gasoline, sales advanced 8.3 percent. By segment, Atacadão was discharged from 11.2% in total sales, to $9.47 billion, while Carrefour recorded a 2.2 percent advance for R $4.5 billion. From January to September, Group consolidated sales were $40.5 billion, high R of 6.6%. 13 Atacadão stores were opened and two of Carrefour in the period. /Reuters
