Brazilian vehicle production falls 23.5% in September compared with August, Anfavea says

The brazilian production of vehicles fell 23,5% in September compared to August, for light commercial, 223,100 cars, trucks and buses, reflecting receding in internal and external sales, reported on Thursday the National Association of manufacturers of Motor Vehicles (Anfavea). In comparison with September 2017, the production had 6,3% crash. As a result, in January-September, the volume produced reached 2,190,000 units, 10,5% above the total mounted in the same period last year. The licensing of new vehicles last month fell 14,2% before August and advanced 7,1% compared to the previous year, to 213,300 units, according to the data of the entity. Sales in the first nine months of the year totaled 1,850,000, 14% more than the registered a year before. Exports of vehicles and agricultural machines in September amounted to 990 million dollars, falling to 23,6% before August and 28,6% about a year before.
