CADE approves joint venture between Dreyfus, Amaggi and Green Net freight sector

SAO PAULO-the supervision of the Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade) decided for unrestricted approval of an operation for the formation of a joint venture between the companies of Louis Dreyfus commodities Company Brazil, Amaggi exports and imports and Green Net Card Administrator, in the area of electronic payments of road freight.
By the operation, Amaggi, the family of the Minister Blairo Maggi, and the multinational corporate indirect participation should acquire Dreyfus in Green Net, currently controlled by the Green Group Net, and each company will have 33,3% in the new company.
As document of the Cade, Dreyfus and Amaggi identify an opportunity in business due to its cargo demands. With the agreement, the Green Net sees chance of expansion of activities.
The companies argue that the operation will create a small vertical integration between the activities of Amaggi, Dreyfus and Green Net in Brazil.
The two companies are already customers of commodities Green Net and not act directly on the road, according to the document.
The Dreyfus performs the carriage of your entire production through contracts with third parties and already engages with a Green Net or other companies, to perform electronic payment of freight. The same occurs with the Amaggi group.
