Samsung replaces Apple at first on smartphones

The South Korean Group Samsung has taken over the first place as global manufacturer of smartphones, taking the lead from Apple, but both companies are suffering increasing pressure of part of their Chinese competitors, according to a study by consultancy IDC.
The difficulties addressed by Samsung with your Galaxy Note 7 and a new record IPhone sales during the holiday season enabled the Apple temporarily resume first.
But in the first three months of 2017, Samsung regained the lead with the 79,200,000 sale of smartphones, 22.8% of the market, according to IDC.
Apple, however, has 14.9% market share, with sales estimated at 51,600,000.
Sales of the two market leaders stagnated compared with the previous year, while the three Chinese manufacturers Huawei, OPPO and Live recorded high of more than 20%.
Huawei occupies the third position in the world, with 34,200,000 smartphones sold, equivalent to 9.8 percent of the market, followed by OPPO and Alive, with 7.4% and 5.2% respectively.
If they are considered all brands, worldwide sales of smartphones have registered a small increase of 4.3% in a year, with 347,400,000 units.
