São Paulo – the federal Government authorized to 4,76% adjustments in prices of medicines by the manufacturers from since Friday, according to measure published in the Official Gazette.
The percentage equals the change in the consumer price index (IPCA) in the period from March 2016 and February 2017, according to the resolution of the Board of market regulation of Medicines (Cmed).
In 2016, the Government authorised a readjustment of up to 12,5% for medicinal products.
This year, the ceilings of the readjustments in three levels, according to the profile of the drugs, were in 4,76% (level 1), 3, 6% (level 2) and 1,36% (level 3).
