Magazine Luiza studies new journey with labor reform

The command of Magazine Luiza said on Thursday (7/12) which studies test new model of working hours permitted by labour reform. The new model would have a 12-hour journey to work for 36 hours of rest. Retail-one of the sectors that employ most in the country-was one of the biggest supporters of the labor reform.
"It's something we're starting to study, but still there is nothing decided. Our focus was to understand and operate first intermittent journey during the Black Friday, so attention was more focused on it, "said Frederico Trajano, President of the company, in conversation with journalists.
Trajano said, this year, with the journey, the company can hire about of 1,700 people to work for a few days of Black Friday. "In other years, we hire for a period of one month far fewer people, something like 500 or 600. It is now possible to employ more people in less time, "he said. The Pão de Açúcar group is also testing on pilot project the 12-hour journey model for 36 hours.
