Mercedes-Benz will invest R $2.4 billion in plants in Brazil

Mercedes-Benz announced this morning an investment of RS $2.4 billion for the period 2018 to 2020. The amount will be spent mainly on modernization of the factory in São Bernardo do Campo, in the ABC paulista. A smaller part also goes to factory in Juiz de Fora (MG). The value is additional to R $730 million that the group is applying from 2015 to 2018, which is in its final phase.
According the Chairman of Mercedes, Philipp Schiemer, at the moment are not provided for contractions. "We are with the frame set". The ABC factory employs 7,700 staff and operates with normal journey, after over a year of reduced journey. tbem there are no more employees on layoff.
In addition to the resumption of the brazilian economy, the Group invests in increased exports, which this year grew 25% compared to last year.
