Unilever''s profit rises to 7.47 billion Euros

Unilever announced today (26), the profit before tax in the year 2016 was 7.47 billion euros ($ 8 billion), down from 7.22 billion euros in 2015. According to the company, the result was driven by the increase in sales volume and higher prices. Adjusted earnings per share amounted to 1.88 euros in 2016, up from the estimate of 1.87 euros. Revenue, however, fell to 52.71 billion euros, against 53.27 billion euros on the same basis of comparison. Already the sales volume grew by 0.9%, while prices rose by 2.8 percent, offsetting the fall in turnover and most difficult markets in India and in Brazil.
