Footwear exports Rise 4% in 2016

According to the Brazilian footwear industries Association (Abicalçados), the footwear sector closed with exports of 2016 126,120,000 pairs, 1.7% above the volume shipped in 2015. In revenue, an increase of 4%, to $999 million. According to the entity, the most stable and the participation of companies in international fairs were some of the factors that stimulated the growth of shipments. Only in December, exports increased by 7% over the same month of the previous year, totaling 18 million and revenue of $128 million.
