Camex extending anti-dumping duties for up to 5 years about chemicals

The Outer Chamber of Commerce decided to extend for five years the right to impose anti-dumping tariffs on chemicals produced by Brazilian companies that include Braskem and Ultrapar group Oxiteno.
In a resolution, the Camex authorized the extension of anti-dumping duties on imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) obtained by suspension process (PVC-S) produced in the United States and Mexico, after complaints of petrochemical Braskem.
PVC resin-S is used in the manufacture of plastic products that include pipes, connections, rigid and flexible profiles, rigid and flexible packaging, wire and cable, among other products.
In another decision, the Camex trade defence has increased about ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (EBMEG), known as Butyl Glycol, produced in the U.S., after complaints of Oxiteno Nordeste. The product is used in the production of paints and varnishes.
The decisions were published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday.
