Yara''s targeting of fertilisers business Valley and other buying opportunities

The Norwegian Yara International sees the fertilizer business in the Valley as one of several investment opportunity, with the company targeting potential acquisitions in Brazil, said its Chief Executive said Wednesday.
Vale said in a document in April that "continues to work to form a strategic partnership in fertilizers, with the objective of divest and raise capital.
"This is clearly one of the opportunities," said Chief Financial Officer Torgeir Kvidal, backstage at a Conference of investors of BMO Capital Markets in New York. He wouldn''t say if the Yara and Vale talked about the deal.
Is not the only opportunity to purchase, however, and Kvidal said the low prices of fertilizers have created more availability between the sellers of production and distribution assets.
