Dollar damages McDonald''s gain

Sao Paulo-the depreciation of the real against the dollar pulled down the results of the brazilian Division of Arcos Dorados, largest network of McDonald''s franchises in the world.
Considering the currency effect, the revenues in the first quarter of 2016 had 21.1 percent drop compared with the same period last year.

To the President of the Brazil Division of Arcos Dorados, Paul Calderon, the results were positive. "They reinforce the strategy of focusing on the customer and on the excellence of the operation is correct," he said in a statement.
Despite this, the Manager ponders about the effects of the recession. "We still live in an unstable economic environment, but our Brazil experience gives us musculature to face the time and seek innovative solutions, successfully, to expand the leadership of our business," he added.
