Direct sales Drops 2.7%

According to a survey of performance data conducted by the Brazilian Association of direct sales Companies (ABEVD), the segment moved R$ 9.11 billion in turnover in the first quarter of 2016, a slight downturn of 2.7%, compared with the same period in 2015, especially, taking into account the prospects of new fall in GDP ( -3.5%) and private consumption ( -4%) in 2016. According to the survey, currently, the number of direct dealers that operate in Brazil is of approximately 4.4 million, which represents a growth of 1.18% compared to the same quarter of last year.
