Anvisa extends deadline for adequacy of labels on cosmetics for children

Anvisa (national health surveillance Agency) lays down a period of six months – from April 27 of this year – to the adequacy of toiletries, cosmetics and perfumes for children the specific requirements of labelling warnings. The rules were established through a resolution published by the day on April 24 last year.
"At the time, the industry had asked for two years to the Agency, which had only one," says John Basil, Chief Executive of Abihpec (Association that gathers the manufacturers of the thread). "But, with the crisis, stocks have accumulated in the factories. The impact of discarding such products now would be at least $ 10 million. "
The extension was considered positive by Fernando Vianna, Siqueira Castro Advogados. "A change like this, which affects the entire chain, requires a reasonable period of time."
