Brazilian trade confidence retreats for 2nd month followed

Sao Paulo-the perception of the current situation deteriorated in April and the trade confidence index (Icom) of Brazil recorded a fall for the second month followed, pointed the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) said Thursday.
The Icom was 0.5 point indentation and came to 66.6 points. The Current Situation index (ISA) fell 2.5 points and was the 59.8 points, lowest level in the series. That made up for the 1.5 point High Expectations index (IE), to 74.8 points.
"At present, the situation is very bad and keeps getting worse. The industry evaluates the demand unfavourably, there is shortage of credit and consumer confidence is at least historic, "said the Deputy Superintendent for business cycles from FGV/IBRE, Aloisio Cameron Jr., in a statement.
