Sale of fertilizers in the country increased by 9.4%

The supply of fertilizers to farmers in October increased by 8.2% compared with the same month of 2015, according to the National Association for the diffusion of fertilizers (come on).
The volume reached 3,661,000 tons last month compared 3,385,000 tons in October 2015. Year to date was recorded even greater increment of 9.4 percent, with a total of 28,090,000 tons compared with 25,678,000 tons in the first ten months of 2015.
The import of intermediate fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) advanced more expressive than in September, when it was 25%. In October, totaled 2,521,000 tons, 37.1% higher than in October last year.
Between January to October 2016, Brazil bought from other countries 19,910,000 tons of fertilizer intermediates, 11.1% more than in same period in 2015, when 17,913,000 tons were acquired.
Also according to the Walk, the production of the raw material decreased 6.7 percent in October and 1.6 percent year to date. Were produced in the last month 796,800 tons and in the year, 7,463,000 tons. With respect to exports of fertilizers and NPK formulations, which practically have not increased in September compared to the same month of 2015 in October more than doubled compared to the previous year (116%), reaching a high of 24800 tonnes.
Year to date, however, the volume exported by the Country 444,300 tons, is 2.85, lower than that registered in the same range of 2015.
With regard to stocks of intermediate products for fertilizers and NPK formulations, the latest still refer to 31 December 2015.
