CPFL R$ 50 million profit in Renewable 3T16

CPFL Renewables S.A. (CPRE3), Brazil''s largest generator of energy from alternative sources, closed the third quarter with growth in key operational and financial indicators. The increase of 90.1% in net profits of the company in front of the same period in 2015, from R$ to R$ 50,100,000 26,400,000.
Net revenue was R$ 505,800,000, surpassing in 25.9% the result achieved in 3T15. Ebitda registered R$ 344,900,000, with growth of 16.6% compared to the same period last year, with 68.2% margin.
The result was positively impacted by the largest generation in the wind resulting from the entry into operation of the new parks belonging to the complex field of winds and São Benedito and the greater speed of the winds. Also contributed to the performance of the CPFL 3T16 the largest renewable revenue of SHPS, in function of the sazonalização strategy of physical guarantee, and the increased production of energy from biomass plants, due to the standardization of the operation in Bio stone (SP).
"Until today, we have more than 75% of the wind wind Field complexes and Saint Benedict in commercial operation, an important achievement for CPFL, as will enable us to achieve the milestone of 2 GW of capacity in operation this year," celebrates the Director Acting President and Chief Financial Officer and investor relations officer, Gustavo Sousa. "These complexes totaling 231.0 MW capacity distributed in nine wind farms."
Power generation for the quarter was 1,996.1 GWh, 17.7% elevation in relation to 3T15, reflecting the increase in production of wind energy, biomass and small hydro. The installed capacity of the company had high of 6.8% and ended the period with 1,924.3 MW. The entry into commercial operation of PCH Kills Old (24.0 MW), in may, and four complex wind parks wind Field (100.8 MW), with gradual entry since may, contributed positively to the result, apart from better wind conditions and hydrology.
It is worth noting that, in the course of 3T16, the company invested R$ 318,500,000 in new projects, totaling 802,200,000 in R$ 9M16, an increase of 184% compared to R$ 282,500,000 invested in the same period in 2015. The investments for the next 5 years total R $2,083 .0 billion and will enable the expansion of the capacity of the company.
