Black Friday online sales Christmas pull in 14%

With the momentum from Black Friday, electronic commerce will grow 14% between November 15 and December 24. This represents $1 billion in sales compared to the same period in 2015, totaling sales of 8.4 billion R$. The data are of the consultancy, specializing in electronic retail Ebit.
"With the consolidation of Black Friday in Brazil, many consumers will take advantage of the discounts offered by retailers on the date for advance purchases of end of year," says Pedro Guasti, CEO of Ebit. In the period, the volume of application should increase 4.5%.
According to estimate of the consulting, only on 25 November (specific date of Black Friday) the billing of e-commerce should be R$ 2.1 billion, up 30% on 2015. The Ebit States that there is an increase in the number of active online consumers. "With the crisis, a lot of people changed the physical retail online in search of better prices," says Guasti.
