17% of spending on online shopping already occur via smartphone, reveals research

Mobile devices already add up to almost 170 million units, an increase of almost 10% from 2015, according to a survey from FGV. Other data, this PayPal/Ipsos research, shows that 17% of the total spent on online purchases in Brazil, in the last 12 months, were via smartphones. In 2015, had been 13%. In total, the Ipsos heard more than 28000 netizens in 32 countries to understand, among other things, why do people have purchased products and/or services via the internet.
The survey also found that 67% of Brazilian Internet users online in the last 12 months bought. And of these, 55% say online buyers purchase products only in Brazilian sites. In last year''s survey, this percentage was 51%. And 37% bought both domestically and in other countries '' sites, were 45% in 2015. Already 8% just bought it from foreign sites, against 4 percent last year. Another point of study reveals that, despite the crisis, 44 percent of adults surveyed online believe that their online spending will increase over the next 12 months.
