Imports by China must increase 9.4%

Imports of UHT milk (sterilization by means of heating and, immediately following, cooling) by China must reach 350 thousand tonnes in 2015. The volume is 12.5% below the previous estimate, but represents high of 9.4% compared to the result of 2014, according to the foreign service of the United States Department of agriculture (USDA).
The advance is driven by the growth of the domestic consumer market. Imports are also being supported by the rise of e-commerce platforms, retail, offer easy access channels and home delivery for consumers in mainland China. The prediction is that imports of powdered milk have dropped 30%, compared to last year, to 400 thousand tons.
Indentation of 50%
Only imports from the United States must back up more than 50% in the period, as a reflection of delays that American industry has been facing to sell to China, because of bureaucratic issues.
Those interested in exporting dairy products to China should be in accordance with the Decree 145, supervised by certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA). According to the USDA, government agencies and u.s. industry representatives are in negotiations with the Chinese authorities to review the process.
