Bagel is 2.8% more expensive, price can range up to 100% according to the establishment

Survey made by Procon Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais with 40 bakeries in Belo Horizonte showed that the average price of French bread encareceu, on average, 2.8% compared to March this year. Depending on the setting, the consumer can pay up to 100% more. According to the survey, this variation was more significant in the Pampulha Region, where the increase was above average (5.45%)
In Pampulha bakeries, the price difference in the kilo of French bread reaches 50%. In the districts of this region, the product can cost between $ 9.00 and $ 13.50 a pound. Already a kilo of sourdough is between $ 9.20 and $ 18.50, a variation of 100%. Another significant variation was found in the region North of the capital: 47.52% in pound French bread. However, in this same region, the product was on average 1.03% cheaper.
The shortest distance between the lowest price and the most expensive one was detected in the Center-South region-8.79%. In total, the French bread had a high of r $ 2.8%, the sourdough, of 3.04 percent and the sweet bread, 2.66%.
