SAB Miller already produces in Brazil

The production occurs less than a week, the Group's factories in Petropolis, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. Anglo-African partnership SAB Miller with the Brazilian manufacturer was announced in October 2014. In the factories of Petrópolis, the Miller Genuine Draft will be produced in German machines in four packages – two sizes of cans and two bottles. Sales begin in May. Jean-Marc Thevenin, Manager of Brazil and Southern Cone manufacturer, says that the goal is to compete in the first three places of the international premium beers segment in Brazil.
Today, the AB Inbev dominates the ranking of the top ten brands in this segment in the country, with Bohemia, Budweiser, Original and Serra malt, according to Euromonitor consulting.
The SAB Miller is a leader in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, El Salvador and Honduras. In the 12 months up to March 31 this year, the global revenue of the company amounted to $ 26.7 billion.
Production in the country
Between the months of January and April 2015, were produced 4.39 billion liters of beer in Brazil. According to the Sicobe (production control system of drinks), the amount is 8% lower than the same period in 2014.
