Plastipak signs purchase agreement for acquisition of APPE

The Plastipak, global leader in manufacture of rigid plastic packaging, announces the signing of a definitive purchase agreement for acquisition of APPE-packaging Division of La Seda de Barcelona group, after his selection as winner in a buying process. The combination of talents, technologies and manufacturing area of Plastipak and APPE will generate innovations for its customers and consumers. The final contract will be signed between June and July 2015.
The Plastipak is pleased to note that the APPE kept their expansion even in challenging conditions. "We are confident that this transition will better serve our current and future customers, and will also benefit the end consumers," said BCC of Plastipak, Frank Pollock.
William c. Young, President and CEO of Plastipak, also spoke about the deal and declared: "we look forward to receiving the workforce of APPE to add their talents and abilities in our Organization.
