Mexico releases 15 refrigerators from Brazil to export chicken meat

Mexico's authorities announced that 15 refrigerators of Brazil were enabled to export chicken meat to the country, said the Brazilian Association of Animal protein (ABPA).
In a statement, the ABPA said the decision was published today by the National Health Service, safety and quality Agroalimentaria (SENASICA) and by the Secretariat of agriculture, livestock, Rural Development, fishing and food (SAGARPA). The 15 plants enabled are located in the States of Santa Catarina, Goias, Parana, Sao Paulo, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais.
The ABPA pointed out that enabling happened after a mission held between August 22 and September 4 this year, followed by a technical meeting between two countries in Mexico City, under the coordination of the Brazilian Ministry of agriculture h
The new units released for export to Mexico add up to five plants — of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná and São Paulo — currently empowered to embark on poultry products to the country.
In October, as the ABPA, Mexico imported 2.25 million tons of chicken meat from Brazil, 49% more than in the same month of last year. From January to October, the volume totals 25.27 thousand tons, 114.6% above the same range of 2014.
