The deal still needs to go through approval of the Administrative Council for economic Defense (Cade).
In 2014, Marcopolo sold 13.4 thousand buses in Brazil, with greater expertise in road and urban segments.
The Company sold 3 thousand vehicles and has a strong presence in the bus segment, in which Marcopolo has little expertise.
This year, through September, Marcopolo sold 6.9 thousand vehicles, a decline of 38.6% as compared to the same period last year. Part of the fall is being compensated by increased exports.
According to Marcopolo's President, Francisco Gomes Neto, the two companies will continue to act independently in the domestic and international markets, in terms of products, marketing and services network.
