Guinness is now a vegetarian

Vegetarians more convinced can soon enjoy a Guinness without fear after the Irish beer manufacturers have decided to stop using fish gelatine in filtering of the product.
The company Diageo, owner of this root beer brewed since 1759, explained on Tuesday AFP it will stop using the isinglass, a jelly made from fish bladder, used in the process of drawing up the beer, wine and confectionery.
"We just install the new system", explained a spokesman for the company, however, said that the process will not be ready before 2017.

The isinglass is tasteless, but serves to speed up filtering, bleaching and refining, the process that eliminates suspended particulates from the mash.
The Barnivore organization has, on its Web page, a list of wines and beers suitable for "vegans"-vegetarians who do not consume absolutely anything of animal origin.
According to Barnivore, the Spanish San Miguel brands and Estrella, the Brazilian Skol, argentina, Buenas Ondas, the Dutch Heineken and Mexican Model are among the beers suitable for vegans.
