Deadline for agreement between SABMiller and InBev is extended

The United Kingdom agency tasked to oversee and regulate the acquisition of companies extended for the third time, for the next 11 days, the deadline for advance negotiations on the offer of 67.9 billion pounds (US $ 104 billion) of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) for the purchase of SABMiller.
Last month, InBev made preliminary proposal of the SABMiller acquisition. The latest period of the British organ for a formal offer would win on Tuesday, 4.
Since last week, the AB InBev and SABMiller have had good progress in negotiations on the terms of possible agreement.
If the agreement is confirmed, the two breweries have large presence in the United States, in China, in Europe, in Africa and in Latin America, accounting for sales of more than 30% of the global beer volumes. Source: Dow Jones Newswires.
