APAs expects 7 percent growth in Christmas sales in SP

Supermarket sales in São Paulo must register 7% nominal growth this Christmas compared with the same period last year, according to projections of the São Paulo supermarket Association (Apas).

The Apas estimates that the basket of Christmas should be 10% more expensive. Dried fruit must climb around 10% and the chestnuts and walnuts, between 7% and 10%, according to the Association.
The oil suffers an increase of about 15%, while for the sparkling high is of around 10%. For the Christmas pudding, the average price increase is between 7% and 10%.
