Novartis completes sale of Division for Eli Lilly

Pharmaceutical company Novartis Switzerland completed the sale of its animal health Division to the American company Eli Lilly, for $ 5.4 billion.
Novartis said the transaction will result in $ 4.6 billion pre-tax profit in the first quarter of 2015.
The sale of the animal health Division is part of a complex restructuring process of Novartis, which should focus on three divisions: pharmaceuticals, ophthalmic and generic medicines.
