Coca-Cola launches açaí with banana nectar

Coca-Cola Brazil debut his special line of NECTARS Del Valle Recently with Acai + banana flavor. The launch marks the company's entry in the growing segment of "superfruits such" – defined by the high concentration of nutrients. The nectar hits the market in packaging of 1 litre and 250 milliliters supplied by Tetra Pak, with images which refer to the origin of the acai berry. "With this announcement, we marked our entry into the superfruits such segment, with a drink that is a source of nutrients and using the acai berry extracted from the forest," says the Vice President of new drinks, Sandor Hagen. "The market of Nectars and soft drinks is one of the fastest growing in the beverage industry, because it is fairly new in the country. We believe that innovations in that category will collaborate in this growth. "
Del Valle Recently was developed in the laboratory of research and development for Coca-Cola in Rio de Janeiro, responsible for developing new drinks for the whole Latin America. The project is a partnership of Coca-Cola Brazil with the Government of the State of Amazonas. Through a cooperation agreement between the company and the State, were enacted 10 principles that will govern the relationship with communities extractors, aiming to preserve the culture and the environment, and contribute to its sustainable development. The term was endorsed by 16 non-governmental and business institutions, among them, the implementation agency of the German cooperation for development, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
