Magazine Luiza sales advance 5%

The Magazine Luiza, whose network expansion plan involves the opening of 20 to 25 in 2013, increasing its total consolidated gross revenue 7% in the first quarter of this year, for $ 2.1 billion. The same concept stores sales advanced 5.2%. The electronic commerce (e-commerce) grew by 21.1%, reaching R$300,8 million, supported by the growth of the site's audience, and B2B and partner marketplace.
On the financing segment, the Luizacred grew 9.8% in the first quarter, reaching R$345,9 million total gross revenue. "We are still relying on a growth in sales at the same stores concept of high single digit by the end of 2013. We managed to preserve the gross margin in the South, Southeast and Midwest and improve the performance of the Northeast, "said the CEO of Magazine Luiza, Marcelo Silva.
