Geociclo will build organomineral fertilizer factory in the State of Goiás

São Paulo, 06-Geociclo, national biotechnology company, will build a factory this year organomineral fertilizer (compost from organic waste treatment associated with mineral nutrients) in Apple Valley (GO). Memorandum of understanding to that effect will be signed on Tuesday, 07, between representatives of the company and the Government.
The venture is a partnership with Grupo Otávio Lage, owner of power plants and Otavio Termopernambuco Lage, and will require $ 41 million in investments. Otavio Lage group will provide about 80 thousand tons of residues, by-products of sugar cane processing. On the other hand, the group will buy Geofert fertilizer.
The installation of the factory will begin this month and still the organomineral fertilizer production will begin in the first quarter of 2014. The unit will have production capacity of 50 000 tonnes of fertilizers per year. The Geociclo plan to establish partnerships with other plants in the region, to receive more waste and double the production capacity of the factory.
This will be the second plant of Geociclo in Brazil. The first, which has just started its activities, is located in Uberlândia (State of Minas Gerais) and its production has served primarily farmers and producers of the Triângulo Mineiro. The company also negotiates its third plant in the State of São Paulo to meet the Center-South Region market.
The signing ceremony is set for the 2:0 pm, at the seat of the Government of Goiás and will have the presence of Governor Marconi Perillo; of State Secretaries; the businessman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geociclo, Olav Matheson, and the President of the company, Ernani Judice.
