Eletrobras has a loss of r $ 36 million in the first quarter

RIO DE JANEIRO and SÃO PAULO – Eletrobras reported a consolidated net loss of $ 36 million in the first quarter of 2013, reversing the profit of R $ 1,268 billion recorded in the same period last year. The cash generation as measured by Ebitda fell 93.59% in this range of comparison, for $ 141 million. The net revenue was r $ 5,807 billion in the first quarter of 2013, 14.54% drop.

For 2013, the State's goal is to invest R $ 13.8 billion, r $ 10.2 billion in investments and r $ 3.6 billion in projects with third parties. The portfolio of projects under construction by Eletrobras with partners includes the Jirau hydroelectric, Wood River (RO), and Belo Monte (PA), the Xingu River.
