Bematech 20% more profit in Q1

The net profit of Bematech, business automation services company, increased 20% in the first quarter, to $ 7.2 million, compared to the same period last year. Revenue advanced 9.6 percent, to $ 77.8 million. In services, Bematech presented a revenue drop of 20.9%, to R $ 7.25 million. In the first quarter of 2013, the gross margin was 23.9% services, compared with 17.5% a year earlier.
In addition to the high sales, the profit was driven by the control of spending in the first quarter. Expenditure had fallen 1.1%, for $ 22 million. In relation to revenue, were at a plateau of 28.4%, against 31.5% recorded in the first quarter of 2012.
