BRF opens margarine unit to supply the Northeast

The BRF inaugurated yesterday a margarine factory in the city of Vitória de Santo Antão, 50 kilometres from Recife. According to the company, the amount in the venture amounted to r $ 150 million. The goal of the new unit is to supply the Northeastern States, which account for 30% of the consumption of the product in Brazil.
The factory is the third of the BRF dedicated exclusively to the production of margarines of the conglomerate. The new unit will generate 150 direct jobs, according to the company. The car head of unit will be the brand name Deline, which concentrate 70% of production. The marks Qualy and Claybon will start to be manufactured in 2014.
