PepsiCo launches Lay's potato in Brazil

PepsiCo brings the Lay's potato for the Brazilian market. The product will be marketed from this month initially in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The company provides distribution to the entire national territory from January 2014. The snak has been present for 75 years in more than 60 countries. In Brazil, the chips will be available in three flavors: Classic and Sour Cream, marketed globally, and Picanha, developed based on research of the company along to Brazilian consumers.
The potatoes are marketed only in portions of 33 g and 90 g with smooth texture and cut into thin slices. Another novelty is the production chain which was developed so that the whole process happens within 48 hours after harvest. The packaging opens horizontally and can be placed on your feet during consumption, avoiding that the potatoes fall.
