BTG Pactual seeks startups for boostLAB acceleration program

The investment bank BTG Pactual (of the same controlling group of EXAME) is open for registration for its sixth edition of the startup acceleration program scale-ups. The program has the partnership of ACE, a Brazilian company specialized in innovation. Registration runs until July 17.
According to Frederico Pompeu, btg partner responsible for boostLAB, in this edition of the program, the partners will be attentive to companies with solutions related to open banking, due to the advance implementation of this model in Brazil.
In addition to open banking, the program seeks solutions in the areas of finance, machine learning, artificial intelligence, real estate, big data, law, insurance, blockchain and education.
In all, five to ten companies will be chosen to follow during the program in the second semester. In the fifth edition, 335 companies signed up. Among those who have passed through boostLAB, are Nexoos, Omie and Rock Content.
The startups chosen, in addition to mentoring the bank's partners and partner executives, will be able to close partnerships with BTG and other companies in its ecosystem. In total, the benefits can reach 300,000 reais.
boostLAB was created in 2018 by the bank to be a technology hub that would boost the growth of innovation companies. Over the past two years, the program has been awarded by Global Finance magazine as one of the best financial innovation laboratories in the world.
"We are increasingly pleased with the results of boostLAB, which has also consolidated itself as BTG Pactual's business hub for the tech ecosystem," pompey says.
