Construction Sector Falls in January

Construction activity fell in January, according to the National Confederation of Industry (CNI). Despite the decline, the pace of the decline decreased in relation to the negative variation of December. In January, the sector's activity index stood at 47.5 points, up from 45.8 points in December. According to the entity, results below 50 points indicate contraction. In January last year, the indicator stood at 44 points, which signals that the decrease this year was lower.
