Sales of the wholesale distribution sector grew 1.14% in nominal value in the accumulated 2019 compared to 2018. However, in real value, revenue slumped 2.48%. The survey was conducted by the Brazilian Association of Wholesalers and Distributors (Abad). The month of December 2019 showed an increase of 0.75% in nominal values compared to the same month of the year retracted. In real values, it fell 3.41%. The association predicts that this year the sector is expected to outperform GDP growth. Considering that in 2018, revenues were R$ 261.8 billion, the sector should have closed 2019 with R$ 265 billion.
