Drug Sales Grows 7%, Says Abradilan

The Brazilian Association for Distribution and Logistics of Pharmaceuticalproducts (Abradilan) totaled R$ 4.9 billion in sales of medicines and non-medicines (HPC) from January to October of this year. The volume is 7% higher than the R$ 4.6 billion recorded in the same period of 2018. During the first ten months of 2019, 850 million units were sold. In the accumulated of the last 12 months, sales totaled 1 billion units and, in values, reached R$ 5.8 billion, an increase of 8% compared to the previous year. According to the entity, generic and similar drugs accounted for 45.2% of sales.
